Kaley Cuoco announced that she had filed for divorce from husband of nearly 21 months Ryan Sweeting in a statement on September 25.

And since the split the 29-year-old has thrown herself into her favorite hobby, horseback riding, as well as caring for her beloved four-legged friends.

It seems to be a good outlet for Kaley, as the star looked radiant on Thursday as she attended the Longines Masters Gala in Los Angeles, held to kick off the competition which continues through the weekend.

She showed off a big smile as she stepped out for the first time since rumors surfaced that she had split with Ryan because of his addiction to painkillers.

Kaley wore a stylish, black mini dress by Giambattista Valli which featured dramatically draped sleeves and highlighted her toned pins.

She coupled the stunning number with a pair of strappy, black Tom Ford shoes, and carried a coordinating little black bag.

She wore her short, blonde tresses styled straight, and showed off a bold, smoky eye which was balanced by a soft, pink lipstick.

The CBS star seemed to be in good spirits for the outing, and showed off a wide grin while posing alongside friend Ashlee Bond.

Ashlee showed off her trim figure in a spaghetti strap, nude, floor-length gown which was covered in 1920s-inspired, metallic embellishments.

She wore her long, blonde locks styled straight, slicked back and out of her face, and sported a bright pink lipstick.

Kaley later shared a smiley photo to Instagram from the event, in which she was surrounded by a group of friends.

In good company: The TV star took to Instagram to document all the fun she was having, writing: '#squadgoals @mastersgrandslam can't wait to play this weekend!!!'

She looked forward to the Longines Masters' upcoming events in the caption, as she excitedly wrote: '#squadgoals @mastersgrandslam can't wait to play this weekend!!!'

The Big Bang Theory star has dedicated a great deal of time to her horseback riding hobby since her split with husband Ryan, even purchasing a new horse.

The split was announced at the end of September, though divorce documents obtained by Us Weekly have the date of separation is listed as September 3.

The publication later wrote that Kaley allegedly split from the tennis pro because he was addicted to painkillers prescribed after a 2014 back surgery.

In 2006 Sweeting was arrested for a DUI and possession of a drug with an intent to sell.

After they wed he 'developed a dependency on painkillers.' When he suffered a back injury just months after meeting her, he was prescribed pain pills.

Earlier this year, UsWeekly stated Ryan had another injury that caused even more problems.

'She supported him but she said he couldn't make the commitment to get sober,' a friend told the weekly of the issue. 'He'd tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted.'

It should be a relatively quick divorce, as Kaley had a prenuptial agreement in which the pair had agreed upon spousal support and property assets.

The star, who had taken her husband's name, has also requested to return to Kaley Christine Cuoco.

She did exactly that at the Longines Masters as she took to Instagram on Friday to show off a place setting that simply read 'Kaley Cuoco,' having dropped the surname 'Sweeting.'

The couple had tied the knot in a lavish fire-and-ice themed wedding on a ranch in Southern California on December 31, 2013 after three months of dating.

They got engaged in September of 2013 after a whirlwind courtship.

'We texted a little bit, dinner was great, and then he moved in the next day,' Kaley said on a 2014 episode of Late Show With David Letterman, of how she hit it off with the tennis pro after the two were set up on a blind date.

The day after Kaley's divorce announcement, the actress showed off a significant new purchase on Instagram: her new horse Zaza.

She was spotted riding her new horse in Pasadena that same day, after being seen out and about without her wedding ring.

The blonde TV icon is an avid equestrian and often rides her horses in the outskirts of Los Angeles.

Kaley currently stars on the ninth season of popular CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, which airs Mondays at 8pm.
