She split from Blake Shelton in late July after four years of marriage.

And it looks as if Miranda Lambert is already on the rebound from the 39-year-old The Voice star.

On Friday the 31-year-old country singer revealed on Instagram that she has adopted a black and grey kitten.

The Texas native explained in her photo caption how she came about adopting the feline.

'Play me a song Curtis Loew Curtis Loew,' the Mama's Broken Heart hit maker started.

'When your friend @harps226 comes to visit and says "oh by the way I picked up a stray kitten on the highway in Arkansas and it's in the garage." And then she smile's this innocent smile. Guess who has a kitten now?'

The blonde is a longtime supporter of the animal charity, Mutt Nation Foundation. 

Though Miranda and Blake were married for only four years, they were together for a total of 10 years.

The country duo resided in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and took trips to Los Angeles where he filmed The Voice.

In Oklahoma, they lived on a ranch. 

'We live in the middle of nowhere and have a totally different life away from work,' she told People in 2014.

'We do the things we sing about in our songs – we go four-wheeling, we back-road, we fish, we eat at my mother-in-law's at least twice a week.' 

In 2013, Shelton said the two were homebodies.

His idea of a great date was, 'throwing a cooler in the back of the pickup and driving around the property clearing brush and singing to the radio or having dinner at the all-you-can-eat rib buffet and dessert at the Dairy Queen. When we get home, we like to be home.'
