She has long run rings around her acting competition, and it it seems away from the camera she does not slack off either.
Elle Fanning was seen hitting the pavement of Studio City, California, for a run on Friday afternoon.
Despite it being a hot afternoon and a plethora of fancy Hollywood gyms at her disposal, the 17-year-old decided to opt for a more classic workout instead.

The Super 8 star impressively alternated between a sprint and a jog around the Los Angeles suburb's streets.
Trying to ensure that she could bear the heat, the star dressed to keep cool wearing a pair of navy running shorts and a pale blue sports bra.
Helping her strides stay pain free, the 17-year-old also threw on a pair of pale purple Nike's.

Unlike other famous celebrities her age, Elle skipped wearing any makeup and tied her blonde locks back into an unfussy bun.
While the fact she went for a jog despite Los Angeles' heat pushing 80F was impressive on its own, even more impressive was that the star somehow managed to muster the energy to do so after a long week of filming.
Elle has been busy filming 20th Century Women, which also stars Annette Bening, is about three women exploring love and freedom in the Seventies.

Of course, the teen is no stranger to being busy, as in addition to 20th Century Women, the starlet is currently lending her voice to the animated film Ballerina, due out next year.
In September, the blonde actress premiered two movies at the Toronto Film Festival, Trumbo and About Ray.
In About Ray, she plays an adolescent who makes the decision to transition from female to male.
