She's never one to shy away from expressing her staunch views on gender equality.

In fact, you could even say Caitlin Stasey is becoming more known for her social activism than her roles in major films. 

The Australian actor has taken to social media again to draw attention to the Free The Nipple movement as she shared a snap on Saturday.

In a photo uploaded to her Instagram, Caitlin dons what looks to be a strapless bikini top that has been bunched up to reveal most of her breasts and show off her feminine figure.

Standing front on, the brunette looks over her right shoulder and slightly squints into the sun: her beautifully sun-kissed skin glowing in the afternoon light. 

In the caption, she wrote: 'When you can't #freethenipple', in reference to the popular social movement brought to the forefront by activist and filmmaker Lina Esco.

It's not the first time the impassioned former Neighbours star has taken to social media with a similar message, having taken topless selfies with a star covering her chest. 

Earlier this year, Caitlin took to Twitter to slam Good Weekend magazine, claiming they dropped her from the edition after she declined to derobe for the camera.

'And miraculously, conveniently after I said I wouldn't do it, they claimed the magazine was downsized & there was no space to run the piece,' she wrote. 

The actress then went on to clarify why she doesn't have a problem peeling back her clothes to promote feminism, saying it's when the act is on her 'own terms', rather than someone else's say-so. 

The 25-year-old launched Herself.com with two others earlier this year, which is a collection of intimate nude photographs and interviews exploring the spectrum of female sexuality.
