And while her ex Justin Long is reportedly devastated over the news, Amanda Seyfried appears to be taking it all in a stride.

The 29-year-old beauty was spotted sharing a hug with a male friend during a doggy date in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Los Feliz on Thursday.

Slipping her golden locks under a snap back cap, Amanda tied her hair into a loose ponytail while keeping comfortable in Nike trainers.

Her male companion sported a Blackshirts logo with dark jeans as he held onto his two small pups.

It was recently reported that Amanda and her boyfriend of more than two years have split. A source revealed to Us Weekly, 'It happened a few weeks ago. He’s really heartbroken.'

The split perhaps wasn't predicted by Justin, as he told the Today show in 2014 that pair were 'in it for the long haul.'

But according to another insider, Amanda and the Accepted star had been on the rocks for quite some time.

The pair were living together in a $1.9million apartment in New York City.

Fortunately, both have plenty of work to keep themselves busy.

Amanda is currently filming Twin Peaks and similar to Justin, has several films slated for this year and next.
