Brandon Marshall's antique roadshow is on hold but New York Jets wideout urges people to head to Portobello Market

  • The Jets receiver urged people to head to Notting Hill to visit antique stalls
  • Marshall has visited London before, rating the city No 2 behind New York
  • He has explored the Portobello Market but won't be doing so this time as he wants to rest before the Jets' game with the Dolphins on Sunday
  • Marshall has an antique bag collection, which features a piece from 1800

Brandon Marshall loves London. But during the New York Jets' brief business trip across the Atlantic, he will not be able to add to his antique collection.

But the wide receiver urged media members to travel to Portobello Market to peruse the wares on sale.

'There is something cool going on every Saturday here in London, Portobello [Market] - I'm an antique guy, I collect antiques so every time I get a chance I'm always looking.

'It’s cool. You guys should do it if you have free time. It’s like a festival,' the 31-year-old enthused.

'I have a 1940s doctor's bag; that's pretty cool. That's my thing now, collecting antique bags. I've got an 1800 bag.

'I want to go but I will not go. I just want to be at my best for Sunday but if it was a regular week I'd definitely go for an hour or so.'

Marshall was widely criticicised for a failed lateral which cost the Jets dearly in last week's defeat to Philadelphia. He labelled it 'the worst play in NFL history' but was in genial form ahead of his first appearance at Wembley.

We shall find out if Eric Decker will join him on the field on Sunday, with his fellow wideout a game-time decision to play against the Miami Dolphins.

Decker has a sprained left knee and is listed as questionable after suffering an injury in the week two win against Indianapolis.

Running back Chris Ivory and cornerback Darrelle Revis are both probable.
