'It's going to be so fun!': Goldie Hawn set to join daytime chat show Loose Women as a guest panellist for one-off appearance

She's used to sipping champagne at swanky red carpet events.

But it looks like Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn, 69, will have to ditch the glitz and glam for a cup of builder's brew as she's set to join Loose Women as a guest panellist.

The Oscar-winning star will bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to the daytime chat show as she'll jet in from Los Angeles to make a one-off appearance on October 12.

In a video message screened on the ITV show on Friday, Goldie revealed she couldn't wait to appear with the panellists.

She said animatedly: 'Hi, I cannot wait to come to the UK to be a Loose Woman - it's going to be so fun! See you soon.'

And it seems the news went down very well with her fans as they shared their enjoyment on Twitter.

One wrote: 'Goldie Hawn - one of the funniest women on planet earth - Luv Luv Luv her! [sic].'

Another added: 'cannot wait to have you in the #uk on #loosewomen you will have a #fabulous time' [sic].

And one fan couldn't believe their luck, writing: 'Did I just hear correctly?! Goldie Hawn is going to be a guest panellist soon...can't wait, love her @loosewomen.'

The stunning star is most recognised for her roles in films Private Benjamin, The First Wives Club and Cactus Flower, but she's also known for being the mother of actress Kate Hudson and the long-term girlfriend of Kurt Russell.

Loose Women has a number of regular anchors and panellists including Kaye Adams, Ruth Langsford, Andrea McLean, Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan and Jamelia.

Some of the guest panellists they've recruited in the past include Sharon Osbourne, Katie Price and Mel B.
