A luscious-haired dog has upstaged the stars of Fashion Week the world over by sporting the latest hair trends - and posting them on her Instagram account.

The blonde bombshell from Japan named Kuma, who is half Shih Tzu and half Pekingese, has been photographed by her owner with her flowing hair styled into plaits, bunches and braids, only for all the looks to appear on the catwalks from the spring/summer 2016 collections.

Kuma has worn quirky hats, girlie braids, pigtails and elegant updos and often pips fashion-forward celebrities including Mollie King and Georgia May Jagger to the post.

Kuma also pulled off the plaited look worn by models at the Herve Leger show at New York Fashion Week

The identity of the human behind Kuma's enviable hair has yet to be revealed, but the frequent stylish posts have attracted over 14,000 followers on Instagram.

In one post Kuma poses with a tousled ponytail, reminiscent of the one sported by Georgia May Jagger on the Giles runway at London Fashion Week.

However the model was one step behind Kuma when she wore a double top knot hairstyle for the Minnie: Style Icon exhibition later in the week.

The pampered pooch had already unveiled the on-trend look to her army of fans on social media.

In another post Kuma, meaning ‘bear’ in Japanese, pulls off the plaited look worn by models at the Herve Leger show at New York Fashion Week.

And showing she has timeless style, she has also been photographed sporting a classy Sixties inspired updo, a favourite look of chef Gizzi Erksine.

Actress Lupita Nyong’o was also left to follow in Kuma's paw prints when she wore a maroon bow for the Hugo Boss show at New York Fashion Week. The look was seen first on the style-conscious canine.

Kuma also wore a stylish black fedora months before Mollie King sported a suspiciously similar one at London Fashion Week.

In another post, the pup showed her edgy side wearing a boyish quiff, a look actress Kiernan Shipka later opted for at the Rag and Bone show at New York Fashion Week.

She also showcased long braids ahead of models at the Mara Hoffman show at New York Fashion Week.
