The new video for Sam Smith's Spectre Bond Theme - Writing's On The Wall - has been released.

The cold and brooding vid matches the singer's soulful delivery - but it does rapidly heat up when the two leads appear on screen together.

The Londoner already made history with the song after it became the first ever James Bond theme to reach number one in the UK charts.

Only two other 007 signature tracks have got close to the number one spot: Adele's Skyfall and Duran Duran's A View To Kill both peaked in second place. 

It is also the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965. 

According to Amazon, sales of Smith's Grammy-winning debut album In The Lonely Hour more than tripled since the release of Writing's On The Wall.
