'I'm not finished': Gary Busey refuses to end rambling speech after being eliminated from DWTS... while Nick Carter busts a move to a Backstreet Boys song

Gary Busey was the Dancing With The Stars competitor who refused to go home.

The 71-year-old actor saw his run end on Monday though as he became the latest star eliminated from the ABC dancing competition show.

The Point Break star refused to end his rambling goodbye speech and snapped at guest host Alfonso Ribeiro for trying to stop him.

'I'm not finished' Gary stated before imploring Alfonso to stop.

The star also bizarrely insisted that he wasn't really leaving the show.

'The fact that I've been eliminated is false,' he proclaimed to wild cheers as he stood with pro partner Anna Trebunskaya.

'Because my spirit with Anna will remain in this room throughout the show. So you won't see us dancing, but we'll be there,' Gary promised.

Nick Carter, 35, also launched his secret weapon to avoid getting sent home and brought along the whole of his superstar band the Backstreet Boys to back him up.

The band all posed with him onstage and gave interviews - and even stood right at the edge of the makeshift stage for his performance of one of their biggest hits, Everybody (Backstreet's Back).

And while Nick did not get the highest score of the night - losing out by just one point - he did get arguably the best response from a judge as Julianne Hough wrote 'I heart Nick' on some paper.

'I'm gonna keep this short - hot! hot!' Julianne told the star who wore a black leather sleeveless studded jacket for his performance.

'You were really good when you were in the Backstreet Boys - but you are far superior now,' Carrie Ann Inaba insisted, calling him a 'ballroom Backstreet beast'.

Sharna thanked him for 'letting me live out my rock star dream' - but Nick insisted the pleasure was all his.

Looking at Sharna in her tight leather outfit, he said: 'I love dancing with the other four guys, but it's a little bit of a treat here.'

His performance came during the Most Memorable Year themed episode with Nick picking 1992, the year he met the other Backstreet Boys when he was just 12.

While the others teased his high-pitched voice, Howie Dorough said: 'When I heard him sing - undeniable. He was our little Michael Jackson of the group.'

But Nick shed tears as he spoke of his 'dysfunctional family', saying: 'There was a lot of fighting in our household. It broke my heart - I never could fix my family.

AJ McLean insisted that most of Nick's friends from then 'are either dead now or are in jail'.

Nick said: 'The boys saved me - they loved and treated me like a true brother.'

While the Most Memorable Year segment sparked a lot of emotion, most of the tears came for Bindi Irwin, 17, who even had the crew sobbing as she spoke of losing her The Crocodile Hunter father Steve Irwin in 2006.

But the emotions also sparked her most powerful performance - receiving a 10 and topping the leaderboard.

Bindi already had everyone in tears during rehearsals, when she had a sudden recollection of how she would hold on to her dad's finger while a little girl - the same hold she was using with partner Derek Hough.

As Derek hugged her while she cried, the cameras cut away to show at least two female video operators wiping away their own tears at the moving moment.

Bindi, in a nude colored dress, then burst into tears again after her live performance - a contemporary dance to Every Breath You Take.

She repeatedly buried her face into Derek's shoulder as she sobbed, leaving lots of the audience with their own tears.

Julianne struggled to hold back her own tears during her critique, finally telling her: 'I probably am not the only one here that that took my breath away as well.'

She added: 'We can't judge the packages, we have to judge the actual dance - and that dance was breathtaking. That was a tribute for your father - he is very proud.'

Carrie Ann Inaba called it 'such an honor to see such a bright light dance with such a beauty and passion' and joined Julianne in voting with a 9.

But it was Bruno Tonioli who gave the 10, having told her: 'He was dancing with you every step of the way. He is proud of you, Australia and the world is proud of you - and so am I.'

Derek had equally high praise, saying of Bindi: 'I'm so proud of this girl, she is one of the most extraordinary young ladies I've ever met in my entire life.

'She is making this season one of my favorite seasons to date - she is a bright light, she is so special,' added the five-time champion.

Bindi had also had tears during her pretaped interview in which she spoke movingly of her dad's death in 2006 as she marked it her Most Memorable Year.

Saying his death 'shaped me the most', she recalled of him: 'I can remember being little and, y'know, ''The one thing I wanna do is be just like dad when I grow up''. And I still feel like that.

'We had so many fun adventures. Those are the best times of my life,' she added.

Her mother Terri called them 'absolutely inseparable', and said of her late husband: 'I've never met anyone bigger, tougher, stronger - and yet more sweet and sensitive. Especially when it came to Bindi.'

Saying the death 'broadsided' her because Steve was only 44, Terri added: 'It was kind of unreal for Bindi. Bindi was so strong at the time, but when you love someone that much it's like totally losing a piece of your heart.

'You're really not going to get over it,' Terri said.

'It took a really long time to understand what actually happened,' Bindi admitted.

'For the rest of my life I'll kind of feel like he's gong to come home. No matter where I go dad will always be with me. His spirit lives on,' she said.

'I wish he could fully understand just how much he's done for me. And that I miss him,' Bindi added.

Grammy-nominated singer Tamar Braxton also sparked a lot of tears with her story of almost losing husband Vince after he was put in a coma with blood clots on his lungs in 2012 - and how his survival made them decide to start their family.

'All I could think about was, “How am I going to live without the love of my life by my side?”' she recalled of the initial scare, then having tears as she said: 'I will forever be grateful because I don't know what I did to be blessed that much.'

Her husband played piano for her performance to her own song King - and she immediately rushed up to him for a tearful hug at the end.

It also left Carrie Ann in tears of her own as she told her: 'Your story touched me deeply. And yet what you danced touched me even more deeply. You reached into my soul just now with that dance. This was such an incredible performance. Thank you for that dance.'

'Tonight your connection was wired to perfection,' Bruno told her, while Julianne added: 'I've never seen you more beautiful as you are right now. Completely vulnerable, completely open, completely free.'

And he took the show's cameras on the trip home, talking of his horror that the college where 10 were left dead was where he had studied - and planned to continue his education when his hectic schedule had settled.

'This is where I went to college - and this is where I was planning to return to college,' he said.

'I mean, I would have had classes that day.'

The judges all gave him a respectable 8.

Teenage social media star Hayes Grier also joined Tamar in second place getting all 9s for his dance to Stitches by Shawn Mendes, who he called 'one of my best friends'.

His chosen year was 2014 when the third ever video he made went viral, recalling: 'We had 21 followers when we went to sleep - and woke up with 100,000. My whole life changed in just six seconds'

The judges seemed equally shocked with his contemporary performance, with Bruno calling him a 'superstar' and Julianne asking: 'What just happened? I am so shocked right now. You have completely broken out of that shell!'

Carlos PenaVega - who is married to fellow contestant Alexa PenaVega - also had an emotional night as he spoke of the dark days following a tour by his band Big Time Rush where he 'felt really alone'.

'On the Thursday I was invited to a Bible study - and at that Bible study I met my wife.'

With tears, he added: 'It's so crazy to me that in one week my life changed forever.'

'I could tell that you were genuinely connected, and there's nothing better than when we can feel what you are feeling,' Julianne told him of his dance. 'That was beautiful.'

For pop star Andy Grammer, it was his pro dancer Allison Holker who had the biggest news - bringing on her husband and child to announce that she is four months pregnant.

Insisting she is 'here 100 percent of the way' for the rest of the season, she joked: 'And every single week it's a trio dance - I hope everyone's OK with that!'

Andy's year was 2009, the year he lost his mother to breast cancer - a heartbreak that made him write the song that launched his career.

'I was able to take this huge blow in my life and the song that I wrote from it is what started my whole career,' he said, believing the song Keep Your Head Up connected because it was 'coming from so much pain'.

But he had a tough time with the judges, with Carrie Ann believing there was an 'awkwardness' to his cha cha to his newest single Good To Be Alive, adding: 'I don't feel that it's all working together'

Getting a 7 and two 8s, he dedicated it to his mother, saying: 'I hope she's smiling, that's my whole purpose for doing this thing.'

Paula Deen once again had the lowest scores of the night, looking shocked to get just 6s after some encouraging words from the judges for her cha cha to Aretha Franklin's Respect.

Although his elimination was not based on this week's scores, Busey would still have been in trouble getting just a 6 and two 5s for his dance - and snapping at Carrie Ann when she said she was not seeing any improvement.

It was not just the contestants who picked memorable years - Bruno also picked the year he starred in Elton John's video I'm Still Standing, joking: 'Instantly I became an international sex symbol.'

He was left cracking up when one of the dancers then bounded across the stage in one of the over-the-top outfits Bruno wore in the video.

After being a guest judge last week, Alfonso was back as guest host to take over from Tom Bergeron who missed the show to be with his sick father.

'Tom traveled back East to be with his dad tonight - he's been here all these years for us, so I'm happy to be here for him,' Alfonso said.
