'Everyone in the neighborhood always (talks about it),' Richard Ellis of Ellis Sotheby's International Realty, where the home is listed, told the Wall Street Journal.

Jolie lived in the home until the family relocated back to Los Angeles, where she attended high school.

The Rockland County house was built in the 1950s and owned most recently by conductor Eugene Kohn, WSJ reports.

Kohn has flipped some 15 homes over the years and said he paid $1.2million for the house about a year ago.

He's since renovated it. 'My style is to simplify and restore to the original condition,' he said.

The 4,000 sq ft property sits on two acres of land. The area has long attracted artists and celebrities, including comedian Bill Murray, because of its privacy and proximity to New York City, Mr. Ellis told WSJ.
