And Parisian actress Catherine Deneuve, 71, put on a effortlessly stylish display as she stepped out for the Saint Laurent SS16 show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday.

The Oscar-nominated star was spotted in the French fashion capital for PFW looking younger than her years in a sophisticated ensemble.

Sitting front row, Catherine sported a cape coat in always-on-trend leopard print, worn over a black long-sleeved top and black skinny jeans.

Her demure look was topped off with patent flats while she injected a pop of colour to her ensemble with a red handbag.

The star accused a new generation of celebrities of spending too much time projecting their private lives across different online platforms.

Calling the 21st-century celebrity phenomenon a 'pity', she claimed being a star necessarily entails a degree of secrecy, adding it is 'hard' to keep the mystery in a world of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

She said: 'It's the social networks that don't allow people to dream any more.'
