In a chastening day for Europe's powerhouse economy, Deutsche's British-born boss John Cryan revealed the huge loss was driven by huge impairment charges and scandals. The lender, which employs around 8000 staff in London, is setting aside almost £900m for legal costs after being caught rigging Libor interest rates.

Megatrain, run by Stagecoach, sells tickets on trains around the country with prices starting from just £1. The seats sold are not on specially-branded Megatrain trains, instead they are on services operated by Virgin Trains, East Midlands Trains and South West Trains.
