Thrice-divorced Charlie Sheen, 50, cuts a lonely figure as he grocery shops all by himself in Malibu (and carries only one bag out)

In the wake of his failed engagement to porn star Brett Rossi, Charlie Sheen looks to be spending a lot of time alone.

The troubled 50-year-old star - who has been divorced three times (from Donna Peele, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller) - cut a lonely figure on Tuesday as he shopped for groceries near his Malibu home.

The Wall Street actor was photographed carrying only a single shopping bag, no doubt filled with the basic supplies any bachelor would need.

He held one bag from Vintage Grocers, Malibu's tony gourmet foods store.

Sheen is presumably shopping for one these days, since his well-publicized break-up with former fiance Rossi in October of last year.

The former porn star was all smiles in February of 2014, telling E!, 'Yes! We are engaged! He even was a gentleman and got down on one knee.

'I was not expecting it at all,' Rossi said at the time. 'We had a beautiful Valentine's day and he proposed to me early this morning after we watched the sun rise.

'The ring is classic and beautiful,' she commented, 'but I don't have any photos to share just yet. This is the happiest moment of both our lives. He's my best friend and my soulmate.'

Yet the couple called it quits only nine months later with Sheen's rep telling People magazine that the actor maintains 'a tremendous fondness' for Rossi 'and continues to wish her all the best.'

'She's a terrific gal,' Sheen said in a prepared statement, 'but we've mutually decided to go our separate ways and not spend the rest of our lives together.

'I've decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now,' Sheen further stated.

One problem, say insiders, was Rossi's porn star past. 'It’s absolutely making Charlie crazy that the media keeps referring to Brett as a porn star, because she no longer is doing that,' an unnamed source told Radar Online. 'She recently graduated from nursing school,' the insider said.

'Furthermore, her stage name is Brett Rossi, her legal name is Scottine Ross. He wants people to refer to her as Scotti, which is the name she goes by in her personal life. Charlie has told his publicist to tell media outlets to stop calling her a porn star.'
