That 70s style: Florence Welch enjoys a retro throwback as she steps out in flares and crushed velvet on day off from US tour
She's long been a fan of a retro style and it seems that fashion has finally caught up with Florence Welch.
The 29-year-old singer stepped out in New York sporting her signature '70s look, a huge trend for the A/W 2015 season.
Florence, who is currently on a U.S. tour with her band, was spied shopping with a friend in the East Village in New York, as she showed off her sartorial prowess.

Florence looked effortlessly stylish in a pair of indigo flares and a crushed velvet patterned blouse.
She finished off her look with a pair of red suede boots, a tasseled bag and oodles of jewellery for the shopping trip.
Judging from the smile on her face Florence welcomed the down time away from performing and was seen linking her arm through her male companion's arm while he pushed his bike along the sidewalk.
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful: The 29-year-old singer is currently touring the US with her band performing tracks from their latest album
Last month it was revealed that Florence And The Machine had been nominated for three Q Awards alongside Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
The awards ceremony will take place in London on October 19th although it looks unlikely that the band will be attending given they are performing in California on the 17th and the 20th of October.
Should they jet back for the ceremony it would only be for a whistle-stop stay before having to return to the U.S. to continue their tour.

Florence recently revealed that her latest album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful was particularly personal to her compared with some of her earlier musical offerings.
She explained: 'I remember when the album as finally finished I was in LA and I was in the corner of my hotel room crying because I didn't want to release it. Like, "Not this one. This one is too much".'
Florence also explained how she's struggling to write music at the moment because she's in a happy place.
She told Q magazine: 'If only they all knew it's basically over. I have nothing to write about. I"m happy. But not too much. Just right.'
'How can I write another album now? I'll have to find an awful texter to fall for - you look like terrible news, come and devastate me.'
