Rumer Willis and Chris Soules competed for the trophy on Dancing With The Stars, but perhaps the pretty winner got herself 'The Bachelor' as well.

The twosome were looking friendly as they watched the New York Knicks play against Brazil's Paschoalotto Bauru at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on Wednesday.

Rumer and the former star of The Bachelor sat close together in a VIP section. and the fact that they were almost rubbing elbows sparked suggestion that they could be an item.

On a date? Rumer Willis and Chris Soules sparked romance talk after they attended the Knicks basketball game in NYC together on Wednesday

The 27-year-old actress looked cool and hip in a mostly black ensemble including a knit cap and a leather jacket that was flung over her shoulders.

Soules, 33, rocked a similar black leather jacket and black jeans along with his signature facial fuzz.

The pair didn't seem to mind that attention was diverted their way, and were seen laughing and smiling throughout the game.

A farmer from Arlington, Iowa, Soules sent hearts fluttering in season 19 of The Bachelor.

In the season finale, he proposed to Whitney Bischoff but the couple announced in May they had called off the engagement.

Soules went on to compete on Dancing With The Stars where Rumer quickly rose in popularity.

Rumer was rumoured to be romancing her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy and on May 19 they were crowned the season's champions.

After touring with Val and other DWTS pros on the Dancing With The Stars: Perfect 10 Tour over the summer, Rumer booked herself a role in the Broadway musical Chicago.

Soules has also been in the Big Apple this week and on Wednesday sat down with Today.com.

'I think a lot of people were very skeptical that I was a farmer because, quite frankly, most people don't think farmers look like me,' Soules told the site.

'I've been farming since I can remember and it's always been something I'm just genuinely passionate about,' he added. 'And if you came out to my farm, you would see how excited I get when I'm there.'
