It's a very Mariah Christmas! Carey, 45, steps behind camera looking youthful while filming scenes for upcoming yuletide movie

Mariah Carey has already got a monopoly on the yuletide airwaves thanks to her seasonal hit All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Now she is intent on dominating the TV screen as well with her festive themed film which she is currently filming in Cincinnati on Thursday.

The 45-year-old star took some time out from her concert schedule in Las Vegas to concentrate of stepping behind the camera to make her directorial debut.

The usually super glam star was in business mode, wearing a pair of practical jeans teamed with a black T-shirt and cropped denim jacket.

She had her famous curls out and loose around her shoulders.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses she looked like she meant business on set.

However, a self confessed lover of high heels, she couldn't ditch them and was wearing them in the long grass.

She was glowing showing of a youthful complexion and seemed to be taking her new role in her stride.

The movie is currently under the working title of A Christmas Melody.

It will be airing on the Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m on December 19 as the final film of its Countdown to Christmas series.

The movie, which Mariah is also starring in, is her first role since she appeared in The Butler in 2013.

Lacey Chabert of 'Mean Girls' is also starring in the film.

It tells the story of a music teacher who helps a young girl who is new in town write a song for the community's Christmas show.

Mariah has released two yuletide themed albums and is well equipped with coming up with the subject matter associated with anything about the festive season.

She has had a busy work slate recently, having been fulfilling concert dates in Las Vegas.

Her #1 to Infinity residency at The Colosseum sees her performing all 18 of her number one hits.

She has also been keeping busy with her love life as well.

The star, otherwise known as Mimi, has been enjoying a romance with Australian billionaire James Packer.

The media mogul, 48, has flown in to see his love in Sin City, and she enjoyed a luxurious European break at his side over the Summer.
