FIRST LOOK: Krysten Ritter in titular role as Marvel antihero Jessica Jones in teaser trailer for upcoming Netflix series

She has already been shown smashing alarm clocks and swigging shots after beating up foes in bars.

But Krysten Ritter's heretofore hidden face as Marvel's hard-drinking antihero Jessica Jones was finally unveiled in a new teaser trailer for the forthcoming Netflix series.

The Breaking Bad alumna is shown poring over clues in the office office of her detective agency Alias Investigations at the ripe old hour of 2:23 am in a short clip titled All In A Days Work.

In another short clip also released on Thursday her character is show walking to her headquarters, with the Avengers Tower being clearly visible as she ambles around on the streets of the Big Apple.

And, given the fact her character is both blessed with the powers of flight and superhuman strength, it only makes sense that she would opt to leap to the fifth floor fire escape of the building containing her office, rather than opting to wait for the elevator.

Once she is inside she is shown pinning photographs of various crime scenes on her wall, which is when Scottish hunk David Tennant's creepy character Purple Man delivers an ominous voiceover.

He says: 'Jessica, I know your secrets. I know about your friends, about your gifts, Jones.'

In fact he goes as far as to claim he knows everything about the wannabe private eye before she seems to have an internal investigatory breakthrough and walks off to continue her enquiries.

The camera then shows an image of Purple Man's face superimposed on the photographs, hinting he is watching her every move.
