Continuing Education (CE) Program

Julie Yu, CFA

We support our members' commitment to lifelong learning and offer the voluntary CE Program as a framework to identify, track, and report educational activities. Find out how to become a member.

Get Started Design a continuing education program to meet your specific learning needs by selecting a variety of activities from different providers.

Browse our activity recommendations to find educational resources by topic, or search the library to find something specific.
Already Earned Credits? About the Program

We recommend our members complete a minimum of 20 hours of CE activities, including 2 hours in the content areas of Standards, Ethics, and Regulations (SER), each calendar year. Members can attest to completing the recommended credit minimums for the prior calendar year during the online renewal process occurring each spring.

CFA Institute Resources

We encourage members to record their continuing education activities and offer an online tracking resource as a benefit. Check out additional member benefits, which include a comprehensive suite of educational products.

Partnerships in Education

We recognize our CFA Societies as providers of quality programming to members at the local level. We also partner with third-party organizations and Approved Providers that meet our high standards in providing relevant educational products for our members.
