Back to the day job! Salma Hayek sports a leather pleated skirt and sheer blouse as she jets back to LAX after Fashion Week

Given her husband is one of the biggest power players in the fashion industry it's not surprising that Salma Hayek has been a little busy over the past month. 

The actress has been travelling all over Europe for the past three weeks, making FROW appearances at the fashion shows in Paris, London and Milan, as well as hitting up plenty of the after-show parties too. 

But all good things must come to an end and Salma was seen arriving at LAX on Thursday, no doubt jetting into Tinseltown to focus on her day job.

Salma, 49, wore a knee-length black pleated skirt with a cropped patterned blouse for her travels and she finished off her look with a pair of brown laced boots with a modest heel. 

The outfit was a far departure from the glamourous looks she has been sporting on the party circuit with her husband in recent weeks.  

As well as a fairly understated outfit, Salma was also missing her huge engagement ring from her billionaire hubby.

And while Salma must have had plenty of luggage, given her extended trip to Europe, she toted only a black leather bag over her shoulder, presumably leaving the heavy lifting to staff members. 

While her husband François-Henri Pinault is busy looking after his Kering empire, which includes brands like Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and Gucci, actress Salma has appeared in no less than five films this year alone.

The Mexican actress is also set to appear in the 3D animated film Sausage Party next year alongside Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig. 

Salma and her husband wed on Valentine's Day in 2009 and are parents to seven-year-old daughter Valentina.

The couple have homes in Los Angeles and last year the pair relocated from Paris to London.
