She told E: 'I have one of the top cardiologists in the country who's amazing,

'Anything that has to do with you heart and brain is pretty scary, but heck, I've been through it. I'm okay.'

Qualified nurse Kim also said she had been worried she may have had a heart problem for years, and had went to different cardiologists due to chest pain and dizziness.

The 37-year-old had told Good Morning America earlier on Thursday that her hospital scare was actually a 'blessing in disguise' as it led to doctors discovering a hole in her heart.

Speaking about her stroke, the reality start said: 'It was a blessing in disguise. The minor TIA revealed that I have a PFO, which is like a hole in your heart.'

'I was born with it and it never closed,' Kim explained. 'That's what caused it basically.'

In addition she also spoke about accusations online that she fabricated her medical scare: 'I think it's sick that somebody would ever think that and some of the people that have said that, it just shows me their mentality.'

Kim also took time in her interview to express frustration over being axed from the current season of Dancing With The Stars due to her medical condition.

This was despite her obtaining over 200,000 signatures from fans in a petition to allow her to continue to compete.

'I was able to dance, I just couldn't fly,' Kim said of the situation. 'I feel like they could've done something via satellite. They've made exceptions in the past.'

'I tried to kind of get an answer because I really do love the show,' she continued. 'I love everybody--the producers, the casting directors, all kind of fought for me, but in the end it was the lawyers that made the decision.'

However, Kim will be back for the finale as she returns with partner Tony Dovolani for one last dance.

Two weeks ago, following her stroke Kim singled out her husband Kroy Bierman in a long note shared with a collage of those who visited her in the hospital.

She wrote of the Atlanta Falcons football star. 'My incredible hubby made sure I had the BEST medical team, made sure everything ran smoothly and he snuggled me in that hospital bed all night.'

According to TMZ, the reality star was asked to Skype into the show soon after her stroke but was not given a heads up she was facing the chop from the competition.

It was when she was on air, the former Real Housewife was told she was going to be eliminated after her mini-stroke meant she was unable to perform that night.

Sources told the site she was 'blindsided' by the decision - Kim was only told she needed to Skype in during the show to provide an update on her health.
