But Sharon Stone needn't worry about growing old ungracefully as she radiated youthfulness when she stepped out in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday night.

The 57-year-old looked fresh-faced as she was pictured leaving The Palm restaurant in the late hours of the night.

Sharon proved she's getting better with age as she slipped into a floaty peach midi dress which was cinched at the waist, accentuating her womanly shape.

The frock was sleeveless and the hem rested just below her knees, meaning she showed a classy amount of skin.

The Basic Instinct star styled the effortlessly elegant one-piece with understated additions which included fail-safe black stiletto sandals, a long chain necklace which was decorated with an assortment of squares, and a black clutch bag.

A mature Marilyn Monroe: Sharon emulated the 1950s pin-up thanks to her choice of hairstyle

Sharon channeled a mature Marilyn Monroe as she coiffed her short blonde hair into a similar style to the pin-up's signature.

Her naturally soft facial features only required a light layering of make-up and she made sure not to over do by applying a feather-weight dusting of blusher and highlighter.

A soft pink lip added a pop of colour to her otherwise neutral colour palette and also tied the whole look together.
