They're one of the coolest celebrity couples of their generation.

And Dawn O'Porter and Chris O'Dowd were as affable as ever as they walked the red carpet together during the BFI London Film Festival on Saturday evening.

The couple, who have a baby son together called Art, took a night off from parenting as they appeared at the premiere of Chris' new film The Program.

The 36-year-old author and presenter looked chic and impeccably stylish in a black shirt-styled dress, cut to above her knees to show off her fantastic pins.

Adding a typically vintage, retro vibe to the look, yellow, pink and white buttons ran down her front, complemented by a fun fried egg-style clutch bag.

Her chunky brunette bob was glossy and flawlessly coiffed, and she finished off her night-out look with a heavy cat-eye flick.

Look retro like Dawn in a BOB dress

Dawn O'porter looked like a retro babe on the red carpet in her own brand, BOB. BOB, is named after the famous 60s hairstyle, as you can see sported on Ms. O'porter. The brand is a contemporary label inspired by retro style.

Here, Dawn rocks a "Jax" dress with puffed shoulders, bell sleeves, an oversized lapel and multicolored square buttons to truly achieve the 60s look. Not only is this dress super fun, but it is also incredibly comfortable.

This dress is perfect for any working woman for its comfort and versatility. Pair yours with funky accessories like Dawn for a modern twist, or with Mary Janes for an all over retro ensemble.

And the man of the moment himself, Chris, looked incredibly handsome in a vibrant blue suit worn with an undone patterned shirt, showing off a smattering of his chest hair.

It was 36-year-old Chris' evening, and Dawn was happy to be there to act as his date for the night, and she happily gushed over him on Twitter in the midst of his red carpet duties.

She shared a photo of him chatting to the press, adding: 'Watching my guy do his thing at The Program premiere.'

Also at the premiere for The Program - the hotly-anticipated film that tells the rise and fall of cyclist Lance Armstrong - was the star of the film, Ben Foster.

Ben has received critical acclaim for his portrayal of the cyclist, who famously battled with cancer before being stripped of his Tour de France titles following a doping scandal.

Chris plays Sunday Times journalist David Walsh, who was suspicious of Armstrong from early in his inspirational journey from hospital bed and wheelchair to Tour de France podium.

And he was joined by the man himself on the red carpet, the two gents - the real and fake Walsh - joined together for a photo opportunity.

Also at the premiere was a very suave Hugh Grant, who looked thrilled to be there, beaming widely while rocking a classic black suit and blue shirt.

But the focus of the evening was on loved-up pair Dawn and Chris.

In January this year the couple welcomed their son Art into the world, and following a private birth the couple publicly welcoming their son into the world via social media one-week later.

As well as enjoying their lives as new parents, Channel 4 star Dawn has been concentrating on her vintage pop-up shop, while Hollywood favourite Chris has been stepping up his acting schedule.

He will soon be starring in Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and in the latest installment in the Transformers franchise, Transformers 5.
