Aden Djvibe, a 26-year-old DJ from Trowbridge in Wiltshire, uploaded an image (left) on Facebook of a Tesco trolley in his kitchen with the words: '5p for a bag, get f***ed - I got a £1 trolley.' And Paul Griffiths from Manchester proudly posted a picture of a Morrisons trolley in his living room (right) on Twitter, saying: '5p for a bag, quid for a trolley #NoBrainer #Needed6Bags.'

Kanye West launched a tirade on Twitter about companies that include in-app purchases on games that kids play. Jessica McCarty, (pictured center and top right and left in her mugshots), 33, told police officers in Brevard County,Florida, that she didn't deserve to live after allegedly killing her three children, Lacey, 7 (center right), Phillip, 6 (front center) and Christopher (in her arms). Handwritten notes from an officer who arrested her show that the mother, who tried to take her own life in the incident, told police that she did not want to live. The newly released documents also say that the mother recalled her children telling her that they loved her during the alleged killings in the house she shared with boyfriend Christopher Swist (center). Video from the crime scene shows cops wrestling the mother-of-three to the floor as she demanded they kill her and 'let her bleed' for her crimes.

A Singapore Airlines Airbus A330-300 collapsed at Changi Airport on Sunday morning before it was due to depart for Hong Kong. No crew or passengers were on board at the time. An engineer was in the plane but Singapore Airlines said he was not hurt.

Andreas Christopheros, 30, suffered a permanent loss of vision and horrific burns when David Phillips (top right) threw acid in his face outside his home in Hastings, East Sussex (bottom right) in a case of mistaken identity. For Andreas, the past ten months since the attack have been a huge personal battle. He has dealt uncomplainingly with his disfigurement, endured endless, painful skin grafts, nd spent agonising hours have surgery on his eyes. But Andreas (pictured centre right before the attack and left with his family after) is determined not to allow what happened to him define his life.

Hayley's joy was shortlived, as four months later she was diagnosed with skin cancer. Snuffling each other's noses and rolling around in the mud together, you'd be forgiven for forgetting that these two animals usually enjoy lives which are worlds apart. While one is commonly a household pet lovingly doted on by its owner, the other is known to wallow outdoors in weather of all extremities. However, despite their obvious differences, these two animals appear to have found some common ground - with Sheldon the ginger cat finding a playmate in Kunekune pig Sundae. The pair are often spotted playing together on remote farmland in the Netherlands or snuggling into each other when they get tired.

When this inquisitive young rabbit came across a prickly thistle growing in the Suffolk countryside, it seemed to think it had stumbled on a tempting snack. Until it took the first bite, that is. After nibbling one of the sharp leaves, the rabbit stuck out its tongue, threw its paws into the air and contorted its face in obvious disgust.
