He's known as The Terminator, but Arnold Schwarzenegger appears to be dragging his feet over officially terminating his marriage to Maria Shriver.

The couple split in 2011 after it emerged that the Hollywood movie star had a secret love child with their housekeeper and Maria, 59, filed for divorce that May.

But more than fours year later, Arnold, 68, still hasn't signed the divorce documents, according to a TMZ report Saturday.

It's not known why Arnold isn't ready to formally quit the marriage even though it's believed the former couple have agreed a straight split of their estimated $400 million fortune.

Schwarzenegger has certainly moved on - he has been dating Heather Milligan, 40, for almost three years.

The actor and the blonde physical therapist have been together since meeting in late 2012.

The former Governor and First Lady of California have four children together - Katherine, 25, Christina, 24, Patrick, 22, and Christopher, 18.

They have remained friends and were seen together on July 30 celebrating Arnie's 68th birthday at a Beverly Hills hotel along with their kids.

The Austrian-born action hero has described the breakdown of his marriage as his 'biggest personal failure.'

'We all fall at one time or another and this was a major fall,' he said at the time. 'But I had to get up again because only losers stay down, winners get up.

"I had to move forward and say, 'OK, now how do I heal and how can I bring everyone together again? Now I am absolutely delighted with my life."

Back on the job: Maria, seen October 6, has returned to work as a NBC News anchor and correspondent following the collapse of her marriage. She put her journalistic career on hold when Arnold went into politics

Moved on: After Maria filed for divorce in May 2011, the movie star began dating physical therapist Heather Milligan. They're seen riding their bikes in Santa Monica in August

Former First couple: Politics was nothing new for Maria, who's a member of the Kennedy clan, and she joined her husband on the campaign trail that ended with him being elected Governor of California in 2003

Last month, NBC announced that Arnold will replace presidential candidate Donald Trump as host of The Celebrity Apprentice.

He's also lined up to reunite with Danny DeVito for a Twins sequel in which they discover they have a third 'twin' played by Eddie Murphy.

Triplets is set to be directed by Ivan Reitman who made the 1988 original.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Maria was spotted out in Brentwood dressed in sporty gear.

The journalist appeared to be in high spirits as she flashed a smile, strolling in a pair of leggings and a white tank top that read Super Love.
