The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? hitmaker was filming an interview for a Dutch TV station at the performing arts theatre when he made his bold style statement.
Clearly paying attention to detail, Rod perfectly matched his pocket square to his trainers and allowed the material to peek out of his dashing purple blazer.
He topped off the look with a slightly more age-appropriate pair of chinos into which he tucked a light-blue linen shirt.

Rod, whose career has spanned over five decades, rocked his usual shock of spiky pale blonde hair.

Showing he has clearly still got it, Rod posed with a host of young fans outside the venue and looked pleased to snap pictures with the music-lovers.

Just one day before his appearance on the show, Rod opened up about one of the great loves in his life - model trains.
The rocker admits he is so attached to his trains that he takes them on tour with him and even books a second hotel room so he can set them up.
The singer said he has even thought about buying himself a full-sized steam engine to continue his hobby.
Speaking on BBC Radio London, he said: ‘Trains are my life – not just model trains but real steam trains as well.
‘I’ve looked into buying a real one and it’s closer than you think. I’d love to own a steam engine and just sit on one.’
