Sofia Vergara stepped out for a relaxed afternoon with friends and was pictured cuddling an adorable baby in her arms.

The Modern Family star, 43, beamed as she cuddled the infant, thought to belong to a pal, as she stepped out of Saks Fifth Avenue on Saturday.

Working an off-duty look, the mother-of-one looked incredible in a pair of ripped jeans.

Sofia, who is mother to son Manolo, 24, from a previous marriage, worked her casual glam look in a black vest top and blue denim boyfriend jeans which showed off her toned physique.

Her honey locks were parted at the centre and left loose to tumble over her shoulders, and she looked the ultimate movie star wearing sunglasses for the occasion.

She showed off her natural beauty by applying a slick of flirty pink lipstick to finish her look as she enjoyed a leisurely afternoon with friends in the New York sunshine.

Sofia smiled as she spent time with pals in the autumn sunshine as she left Saks with a shopping bag from the department store on her arm.

The sitcom star never has a day off in the glam stakes as she brightened up her look with a patterned navy and sea blue scarf as she enjoyed her afternoon out.

The beauty certainly has a lot to smile about.

Aside from being one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses, she is preparing to walk down the aisle to her Magic Mike star fiancé Joe Manganiello.

Sofia and the 38-year-old True Blood hunk began dating in July 2014 and got engaged just months later on Christmas Day.

The bride-to-be gave the scoop on wedding details revealing the nuptials will take place on November 22 at the legendary Breakers Palm Beach.

She also wants to ensure the reception is a party and has included a guest list of over 300 friends and family.

'I want a wedding where the guests are going to have fun,' she said in the October issue of Instyle.

She proudly showed off her gorgeous engagement ring as she left the department store carrying her shopping bags before they were placed in a car.

She gushed to Instyle about her 'perfect' rock, a seven-carat oval diamond picked by Joe himself: 'It is perfection. He picked it for me, and I wouldn't change anything. He knows that I like big.'

Sofia and her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb are currently locked in a bitter legal battle over frozen embryos created when they were together.

Sofia, who split from Nick last May, claims that her former fiance is just trying to take advantage of her career by publicly fighting to take the two embryos to full term using a surrogate.

And though Sofia Vergara isn't interested in them, it appears having more children may still be in her cards. But she admits it will have to be soon - or not at all.

'Joe is younger than me. He’s 38. He’s never had kids. How am I going to say no?' the 42-year-old Modern Family star said during an interview with Redbook magazine for their June issue

'I tell him if we’re going to do this, we have to do it, like, now, because I don’t want to be 50 with a baby,' the outspoken star added.

She and Joe have been together since 2014 and became engaged on Christmas.
