'He's a classy Englishman, I'm a gangly Canadian': Colin Firth's son Will talks comparisons as he follows in his father's footsteps ahead of movie debut
He set pulses racing in his role as the eligible Mr Darcy in BBC's Pride And Prejudice where he strode out of the lake in a soaking wet white shirt.
And it appears as if Colin Firth's eldest son Will is set to follow in his famous footsteps after landing a role in upcoming British romantic comedy Love Type D.
In a new interview with Evening Standard newspaper, the 25-year-old son of Colin and award-winning actress Meg Tilly did, however, say he isn't entirely like his father.

'I'm not sure what my type is yet': Colin Firth's son Will Firth has landed a role in new rom-com Love Type D, but admits he's not much like his famous dad
'He's a classy Englishman,' he told the publication. 'I'm more the tall, gangly Canadian. He's more the romantic lead roles. I'm not sure what my type is yet.
'But I'm not the romantic lead in this film. I've had a few sinister roles because of the way I look. At drama school it was more comedic roles.'
Will's mother Meg, 55, was Colin's partner for five years, before he went on to marry Italian film producer and director Livia Firth and have two sons with her.
It's in the genes: Colin is one of the UK's top and most revered actors, with an Oscar win under his belt, so it's not so surprising his eldest is following in his footsteps

Will has previously appeared in several productions including King Lear and Robin Hood as well as starring on stage at London's Tristan Bates theatre for Blood Wedding.
