Home…and Away! Aussie actress Lynne McGranger flies across the world to see her Emmerdale soap star friend Michelle Hardwick marry partner Rosie Nicholl

They’re soap stars who work on the opposite sides of the world.

But that didn't stop Home and Away’s Lynne McGranger, 62, from being one of the happy members of the congregation to see Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick, 39, marry partner Rosie Nicholl, 30, at North Yorkshire's Danby Castle, on Sunday.

During the celebration in the UK countryside, Lynne appeared to be having a ball as she posed up next to Michelle, who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the soap.

Clearly excited about seeing her friend tie the knot, Lynne shared a picture of herself with gorgeous bride Michelle.

’Two of my favourite people @chellehardwick and @MaureenBrown #bestday#beautifulbrides #danbycastle', Lynne captioned the snap.

It is unknown how Lynne, who is famous for her long running role as Irene Roberts on Home and Away, has become such good friends with the UK actress.

However Lynne has mentioned in the past how she would be keen for a role on Emmerdale.

In 2013 she told All About Soap: ‘I'd love to do one of your soaps - Emmerdale would be my first pick.

'I love the idea of being out in the country and wrapping up warm in a nice big coat.

'In Summer Bay you have to pretend it's hot all the time, so you're never allowed extra layers!'

Soul mates: Speaking previously to Daily Mail about her upcoming nuptials, Michelle said last year: ‘We’re both wearing dresses and our dads are walking us down the aisle. I can’t wait.’

They met four years ago when Michelle was doing panto and Rosie was playing in the orchestra.

Speaking previously to Daily Mail about her upcoming nuptials, Michelle said last year: ‘We’re both wearing dresses and our dads are walking us down the aisle. I can’t wait.’

Michelle told her family she was gay when she was 28 after years of struggling with her sexuality.

‘Family members would ask if I had a boyfriend and my excuse was I was too busy at work,’ she added.

‘I was nervous about telling them and didn’t plan it, but my dad asked me and I didn’t want to hide it. He was only upset that I felt I couldn’t tell him before. My whole family have been amazing, as have Rosie’s. We’re very lucky.’
