SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: A portrait of Princess Eugenie... hard at work as usual relaxing on her very own throne

Princess Eugenie is said to have spent as much time on holiday as at work since joining upmarket art gallery Hauser & Wirth in July as an associate director, taking an astonishing 25 days off in her first ten weeks.

Now, however, her good friend Edward Tang, son of Hong Kong tycoon Sir David Tang, has divulged exactly what Eugenie gets up to during her rare appearances at the gallery. . . And that appears to be not very much.

Eugenie, 25, was spotted posing for a selfie at Hauser & Wirth’s Somerset branch.

While the eighth-in-line to the throne rested on a sheepskin seat in front of the brightly coloured office walls, Edward snapped her reflection and captioned it: ‘Mirror mirror on the wall.’

He failed to add: ‘Who’s the idlest of them all?’

Pro-EU PR man's £1m rise

Sleek PR man Roland Rudd joined business bigwigs Stuart Rose and Karren Brady to launch Britain Stronger In Europe yesterday, which is campaigning to keep the country in the European Union.

Rudd, 54, a close chum of Lord Mandelson, is making a habit of backing unpopular causes.

He’s even agreed to advise beleaguered car manufacturing company Volkswagen since it was revealed to have cheated pollution tests on its diesel vehicles.

On the bright side, he’s just awarded himself a whopping £1 million pay rise. According to his firm Finsbury’s published accounts, his salary jumped from £3.2 million in 2013 to £4.4 million in 2014. Rudd, who banked £40 million from selling 80 per cent of his firm to Sir Martin Sorrell’s WPP, has a track record in guiding scandal-hit firms through choppy waters.

He’ll be worth every penny of his handsome pay packet if he can pull off VW’s thankless task.

Renee Zellweger pictured filming in central London as she reprises her role as Bridget Jones

Actress Renee Zellweger has clearly decided not to pile on the pounds again for the third Bridget Jones movie, which is currently filming in London.

The actress (pictured in character, right) appeared to be in far svelter shape than in previous incarnations of Bridget, as she clutched what seemed to be a gift-wrapped doll for a scene in Borough Market yesterday.

Not that she has abandoned all prep work for her role as the lovable TV journalist.

Since I revealed last month that Zellweger, 46, had been sitting in on meetings at ITV’s Good Morning Britain, I hear she’s been shadowing a BBC director.

Speaker John Bercow, usually punctilious about titles, keeps failing to acknowledge the knighthood of Tory backbencher Simon Burns. In the House yesterday, for the fourth time, he omitted the ‘Sir’. Did it slip his mind? Or was it peevishness that his long-standing critic has been so handsomely recognised?

Former BBC1 radio presenter and model Jameela Jamil has not been very lucky in love.

She describes ‘the worst Tinder date ever’ which ended with her suitor ‘lying on the floor with broken teeth and a split chin having had a seizure because he had a bad reaction to the Viagra he secretly took. Yes, it actually happened.

There I was, in an ambulance with a man I barely knew, desperately needing to be held and reassured — me, not him. What do you do? How do you comfort yourself?’
