From Australia Zoo to Hollywood! Bindi Irwin prepares to tackle tinseltown... after wowing on America's Dancing With The Stars

She's been winning over a new legion of fans on the American version of Dancing With The Stars.

And now Bindi Irwin is planning to capitalize off her newfound stardom in the States - by moving to Hollywood.

According to New Idea, her mother Terri is already looking at mansions to buy in ritzy gated communities like Bel Air and Beverly Hills to set up an official Hollywood base for Bindi.

'Terri's looking for U.S. representation for Bindi in preparation for the big TV pilot audition season,' a source tells New Idea.

'Bindi's already taking dialect classes so she can master the American accent.'

In addition to changing her accent, insiders say that Bindi's planning to ditch her outback image of khakis and no makeup for a glam A-list overhaul.

The sources say that the 17-year-old has found getting dolled up for Dancing With The Stars 'liberating,' and that Terri has already been talking with stylists and image consultants to re-brand Bindi.

Since starting on DWTS last month, Bindi has been a big hit with the show's judges and American audiences.

She and dance partner Derek Hough are currently leading the series with the most points of all contestants, while Bindi is tied for first place for the highest-scored performance for her quickstep routine.

Multiple American media outlets have already dubbed her a 'front-runner' to win the show.

Although she's just become a favourite in the States, this isn't Bindi's first time in the limelight.

The Logie award-winning teen has been regularly appearing on TV since she was a little tyke, beginning with late dad Steve's iconic adventure series, The Crocodile Hunter.

She went on to host her own children's documentary series, Bindi the Jungle Girl, and then had her own game show, Bindi's Bootcamp.

She also headlined two feature films, Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove and Return to Nim's Island, released a rap song, and two fitness DVDs.
