Chris Martin was every inch the doting father as he enjoyed a leisurely day out with his son Moses.

The Coldplay musician was pictured out with his nine-year-old child and his pal at a grocery store in Malibu on Sunday afternoon.

Turning heads as he passed by, the 38-year-old cut a relaxed figure as he made his way along the streets with a large shopping bag in his hand.

He rocked his usual laid-back look in slouchy tracksuit bottoms, a plain blue T-shirt and a trendy pair of black high-top trainers.

Chris also wore a cheerful baseball cap with a smiley face motif on the front, while concealing his eyes with classic aviators.

Meanwhile, on the following day, his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow posted a gushing tribute to their 11-year-old daughter Apple - to mark International Girls Day.

‘Let's selflessly pass down any wisdom we have been fortunate enough to accumulate thus far,’ she added. ‘And most of all let's just get the heck out of their way, this next generation is going to change everything.

‘Apple Martin, thank you for being my number one girl, the girl who inspires me to be my best every day of my life. #whoruntheworld.’

Chris and Gwyneth, who are parents to Apple and Moses, have remained good friends since their 'conscious uncoupling' in March 2014. 

The former couple have been committed to co-parenting their two children and live close to each other in Los Angeles.

While Gwyneth, 43, is currently dating American Horror Story producer Brad Falchuk, the British singer-songwriter has been linked with Jennifer Lawrence, Kylie Minogue and Annabelle Wallis.
