She may be an icon and he's a Hollywood heavyweight but that does not stop them taking great pleasure in the simple things.

Christy Turlington headed to her local dog park with husband Ed Burns, son Finn and their adorable French Bulldogs in New York on Monday.

The family looked like any other making the most of the late afternoon sunshine with their beloved pooches.

Showing why she remains one of the most well -known models of all time, Christy looked stunning as she dressed down and skipped makeup for their afternoon activity.

The 46-year-old went for a casually chic look wearing a pair of loose fit three-quarter length denim pants with a collarless blue shirt under a short sleeved navy cardigan.

The catwalk star accessorised her look with a pair of flip flops and some simple sunglasses.

The former supermodel showed off the natural beauty that med her famous forgoing any makeup but still looking as stunning as ever.

Christy looked very content as she sat on a bench with her son, while her producer/director husband kept an eye on the furry members of their family.

Though he did not have to worry too much as, just like their model owner, they were model doggy citizens.

The French Bulldogs - who appeared to be no spring chickens - were energetic and happy played with the other dogs even making friends with ones much bigger than them.

Not joining them at the park was the couple's 11-year-old daughter Grace, who no doubt had an after school activity.

The time together as a family is no doubt every important to the famous couple as both have very busy schedules.

Christy is dedicated to her charity work as a campaigner for worldwide maternity health and Ed juggling his behind-the-camera roles with his acting gig on TNT hit Public Morals.
