'Feelin' sicky': Depressed Miley Cyrus shares intimate selfies while bedridden due to summer flu

Having the flu is never fun.

Being bedridden while it is still summer due to illness is even worse.

So no wonder Miley Cyrus appeared to be a bit depressed as she shared a series of selfies while laying sick in bed on a hot summer day.

The 22-year-old shared a series of snaps on Sunday as she laid in bed watching cartoons on TV.

One snap she captioned: 'When it's 100 degrees outside but you are feelin sickyyyyy and you are freezing'.

In various photos from the day she cuddled her pets, ranging from a dog to a cat and an assortment of stuffed dolls.

Meanwhile, just a week ago she shocked viewers with 11 eyebrow-raising outfits when she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards. 

But Miley's costumes weren't the only big talking point to come out of the show though, as shocked viewers, and the celeb audience, saw the Can't Stop singer branded a b**** on stage by Nicki Minaj.

If the whole thing was a publicity stunt by Miley and the rapper, the Wrecking Ball singers family definitely weren't in on the joke.

As Nicki, 32, brandished her gong for Best Hip-Hop video and turned to Miley to spit out her vitriol a camera was catching the Cyrus clan's reaction.

Billy Ray, 54, looked slightly stunned, while her mother Tish's eyebrows were raised so high they were nearly in her hairline.

With a slightly gobsmacked smile on her face, the 48-year-old tried to keep composed as the drama unfolded.
