Just another day at the office! Princess Eugenie wears £55 faux leather Topshop dress as she prepares to man gallery stand at London's Frieze Art Fair

  • Eugenie, 25, attended pre-opening of this year's Frieze Art Fair
  • Hauser & Wirth associate director looked chic in a green shift dress
  • Princess will man a stall at the contemporary art fair this week
  • Sarah Ferguson is jetting to London for her 56th birthday on Thursday

As associate director for one of London's most prestigious art galleries, this was one glamorous event that Princess Eugenie could pass off as work.

Wearing a green pleather shift dress, thought to cost £55 from Topshop, and black ankle boots, Eugenie, 25, looked at home mingling with the movers and shakers of the art world.

Freize Art Fair, which opens tomorrow and runs until Saturday, is a key date in the autumnal calendar as culture vultures from across the globe descend on Regent's Park to check out the hottest names in art.

Go green in a sleek shift dress from Topshop like Eugenie

The Frieze art fair has once again landed back in Regent's Park and all the VIPS including Princess Eugenie attended today for a sneak preview.

While her older sister, Beatrice, has been more widely known for her fashion choices, Eugenie was giving her a run for her money here at the fair, looking gorgeous in this leather-look shift dress. It's not all designer for this young lady, in fact this piece is from good old Topshop!

The great news about this high street piece is that it's very affordable and luckily it's still up for grabs (right).

If you're hoping to steal Eugenie's royally good style for even less, then check out the options below by Glamorous, Missguided and Vero Moda or splash some cash with the MaxMara number. This winter we'll be teaming ours with over-the-knee boots to spice things up.

Eugenie, who has faced criticism this year for her seemingly endless array of holidays, was representing her company, art powerhouse Hauser & Wirth at the event.

The young royal was appointed by the upmarket gallery, which has offices in Zurich, New York and London, in July but has reportedly been ticked off for her extended absences, which saw her take off 25 days in her first ten weeks on the job. It's a figure that most people might expect to take in a year.

She wasn't the only one soaking up the arty atmosphere as actor Benedict Cumberbatch dropped by at the fair.

Actor Josh Hartnett with long-term gilrfriend Tamsin Egerton were also in attendance and chatted to Eugenie at the event.

While Elton John's husband David Furnish also came to check out the pieces on show.

Eugenie was rumoured to be taking a trip to New York to celebrate her mother Sarah Ferguson's 56th birthday on Thursday.

But the holiday was apparently scuppered when the gallery asked Eugenie to man their stand at the art fair.

It's thought the Duchess of York will now fly into London so the family can still celebrate together.

Eugenie has worked for the gallery since July and was seen clutching her laptop and laden down with bags on her first day.

Her new role comes after she was headhunted while working in New York for auction company Paddle8 and lured back to the UK by a hefty salary rise.

Earlier this week, we were offered a glimpse of what Eugenie gets up to while at work at the super swish Hauser & Wirth gallery on London's Savile Row.

The red-haired princess was photographed by Edward Tang, son of designer David Tang at the auction house in a selfie that captured the pair in a full-length mirror.

The art fan looks pleased to back in London. She had been working in New York for auction company Paddle8, which is backed by Damien Hirst, Matthew Mellon and Jay Jopling.

However, the princess was reportedly lured home with a hefty pay rise and the desire to be reunited with her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank.
