'I know all the back end, I do everything,' Bingle said, 'I wanted to know what was to do with the boxes, the branding, the packaging, the formulas - it’s just learning about something that I’ve never done before.'

Bingle sold her waterfront apartment in Sydney in June 2014 - the Darling Point pad selling for one million dollars and making an estimated $118,000 profit.

Bingle bought the well-lit 65sqm apartment in 2010 after her break-up with former boyfriend Michael Clarke.

Bingle offered an insight into why she went to such an extent to get her brand off the ground.

'I started The Base because I wanted to create something that's very authentic and real and enhanced women’s beauty rather than constantly putting layers on,' Bingle, who labelled the experience as 'inspiring', said.

'I came from going in the salt water and the ocean, it’s just amazing for your skin.'

Bingle said her natural roots and her desire for creativity and learning combined helped her launch what is now a consistently growing skincare brand - the brand's Instagram page boasting over 23,000 followers.

The young mother's desire for simple cosmetics and skincare is reflected in her own beauty routine.

'I've always been really minimal. I mean I use coconut oil on my skin, I love that,' Bingle said.

'Rosewater, rose hip oil, nice nourishing things that make you feel good - I think sometimes at the end of the day you can have all these products and sometimes I feel like they’re too much.'

When it comes to her iconic 'Bingle Bob', it's the same.

'I think less is more to be honest,' Bingle admitted, 'probably my hair is the least maintenance thing about me. I don’t really brush it, I just let it dry.'

Bingle, who welcomed her first child, Rocket Zot, six months ago, also revealed she feels no pressure to bounce back to an unrealistically slim figure any time soon.

'To me it’s just about being healthy and fit. It’s not about getting back to the gym to try and be size zero,' Bingle said.

'I've never been of that ilk and it's not really important to me.'

Bingle is back in Australia from the US, enjoying attending to her professional commitments as a Westfield Style Ambassador while husband Sam looks after Rocket.

Bingle will make her only public appearances as Westfield Style Ambassador at The Base pop-up at Westfield Bondi Junction on Thursday 15 October and Westfield Doncaster on Saturday 17 October.
