International family law and children
​​The Hague Child Abduction Convention entered into force between Australia and the Republic of Korea on 1 June 2015.
International wills
​The Convention Providing a Uniform Law on the Form of an International Will 1973 entered into force for Australia on 10 March 2015.
Data retention
The Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Amendment (Data Retention) Act 2015 received Royal Assent on 13 April 2015. The Act requires the telecommunications industry to retain and secure a limited set of metadata for two years. The data retention obligations commence 13 October 2015.
