'I was kind of selling my soul on magazine covers': Lara Bingle admits chasing fame in the past was a naive mistake... as she poses for first magazine photo shoot after stepping out of the spotlight
Lara Bingle first became a household name after appearing in THAT 'Where the bloody hell are you?' Tourism Australia campaign in 2006.
It wasn't long before the young and curvy model became an overnight sensation, and soon swimsuit campaigns, high-profile relationships and a reality TV show followed.
However, the now married mother-of-one has reflected on that time in her life in an interview with this month's Harper's Bazaar Australia, admitting that she has made mistakes in the past.

'I was kind of selling my soul on magazine covers,' she explains.
'I could say I was naive, but back then I thought I knew what I was doing,' she adds, noting she enjoyed the drama when she was younger.
The 28-year-old appears on the cover of the fashion tome, along with the headline 'Meet Lara Worthington', her new married name after tying the knot with Sam Worthington last December after a 14 month romance.
She also tells the publication that leaving the limelight to re-evaluate her life was 'the best thing for me'.

Lara told the Kyle & Jackie O radio show on Monday that she married partner Sam in a secret ceremony in December while six months pregnant with the couple's first child, Rocket Zot.
The beauty entrepreneur tells Harper's Bazaar Australia that the choice to take her husband's surname wasn't even a question as she didn't want to be 'the odd one out' with a different last name to her boys.

Accompanying her in-depth and candid interview, the model mum stuns in a country-inspired photo shoot.
Shot by Australian photographer Russell James, Lara glows on the cover in a strappy black dress that highlights her ample cleavage.
The gorgeous gown is paired with rustic leather boots as she trudges through the fields.

Inside the magazine, Lara shows off her slender frame just months after giving birth to her son, in a ivory-coloured silk slip, that shows a little of her net bra from the side.
And it seems the new mother is comfortable in her own skin and not afraid to flash the flesh.
In one image, Lara sports a low cut beige pin strip jumpsuit as she sits barefoot on stone steps, leaning her toned arms on her knees.

Where the bloody hell are you? Lara Bingle rose to the spotlight overnight after becoming the face of Tourism Australia's controversial campaign in 2006
Fresh-faced: The 19-year-old quickly secured modelling contracts and became a fixture on the social scene
Sporting a tweed coat, pulled just off her shoulders, she leans back on a moss-filled rock formation behind her, giving the camera a steely look.
While in another image, the businesswoman pulls a black collared shirt over her mouth, perhaps to indicate her lips are sealed on her private life these days.
The fashionable yet laid back images, shot on location in New York, were styled by Karla Clarke with hair by Travis Balcke at Company 1 for Wella Professionals, while make-up was done by Vicky Steckel at Bryan Bantry.
The latest interview and images of the starlet paint a very different picture to the young woman she once was.
After being catapulted to fame for the controversial Tourism Australia tagline 'Where the hell are you?' in 2006, the blonde beauty was quick to secure swimsuit modelling contracts and became a reality TV starlet.
The same year, she stared on Torvill & Dean's Dancing On Ice, where she was runner-up.
Becoming a fixture on the social circuit, the blonde bombshell enjoyed showing off her model figure and soon began dating AFL star Brendan Fevola after meeting at a party.
However, the footballer was married at the time and his wife, Alex Fevola, released a voicemail from Lara after finding out about the couple's relationship.
In 2007, after a year of staying silent on the issue Lara sold her story to one of the tabloids and revealed she only knew he was married after she overheard a baby crying in the background over the phone one day.
However, later AFL player Dermott Brereton claimed Lara knew on the night they met that he had a wife.
When nude photos of Lara later leaked from Brendan's phone in 2010, the socialite again did a tell-all interview with the tabloids.
The photos coming to light, also led to the end of her three year relationship with Australian cricketer Michael Clarke.

The pair got engaged in 2008 during a trip to New York but called time on their relationship in light of the scandal, with rumours the model's public image was a bad fit for the rising sportsman.
As the relationship ended, plumbers were seen entering a home where Lara reportedly flushed her $200,000 pear shaped diamond engagement ring down the toilet, which subsequently got jammed.
However, her publicist was quick to discredit the rumours, saying the ring was 'safe and well'.
In an attempt to reboot her image, the blonde beauty then made an appearance on Dancing With The Stars in 2011 but came under fire from judge Todd McKenney for being having 'too much hair' and not enough substance.
High profile relationship: Lara dated Michael Clarke for three years and after the pair got engaged in 2008 they very quickly became Australia's answer to Posh & Becks
Then the following year, in another chance to change the public's perception of her, Lara signed on for a Keeping Up With The Kardashians style, fly-on-the-wall reality TV show, Being Lara Bingle.
The show was panned by both fans and critics and lasted only one season on Network Ten.
After taking time out of the spotlight and enjoying a comparatively low-key life in New York, the sun-kissed starlet launched her very own skin care range, The Base in 2014.
Now, the model, businesswoman, wife and mother says she's happier than ever.
Harper's Bazaar Australia is on stands now.
Being Lara Bingle: The socialite signed on Being Lara Bingle in 2012, but the show only lasted one season on air after being panned by critics and fans
