Hof claims Odom had been taking herbal Viagra and had drunk part of a bottle of cognac since arriving, but had no knowledge of his use of any other drugs.

According to an employee of Love Ranch's sister brothel Bunny Ranch, Hof's properties have an explicit no drugs policy.

The employee, Sarah Greenmore, addressed the drug stance as she answered a slew of questions regarding Hof's ranches on Reddit on Wednesday.

'Whatever Lamar took he likely brought in himself as we normally don't carry male supplements.

'I know people who have taken them can sometimes experience blackout sensations, overheating, eyesight blurring.

'We are really strict on our drug policy and have setups about once a month with an undercover asking or offering illicit drugs to the workers, but people are given privacy and we can't control what they do by themselves.'

However, in a FAQ page on the ranch's website, the proprietors admit to hosting so-called 'Viagra parties', which are known to include party drugs like ecstasy and cocaine used along with the erectile dysfunction pill.

The ranch's 'menu' also features a 'Viagra & Vibrators' item in its Main Course section to 'Keep it going forever.'

The ranch is clear, however, that they do no provide Viagra and that drugs are absolutely never allowed.

According to Greenmore's description of the ranches, Odom--who's been plagued by rumors of his crack cocaine use and partying for years--may have had plenty of time alone since checking into the ranch.

Greenmore called suites like Odom's a 'self contained apartment for our VIP guests.'

'You can stay for weeks if you keep spending money. We regularly have people stay 2-5 days at a time,' Greenmore wrote.

A source for E! News told the site that 'virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system' when Odom was taken to the hospital.

Sources added to TMZ that the mucus in Odom's lungs was caused by smoking crack-cocaine and that doctors also found opiates in his system, as well as needle marks on one of his arms. This counters previous statements made by Dennis Hof, the brothel proprietor, who was quick to say that none of his girls saw the athlete taking illicit drugs during his stay.

However, the E! source says it appears the overdose was not intentional but possibly a result of Odom's history of drug abuse.

'The long term effects of his drug use have taken a toll on his body and the binge this time was too much to handle,' the source said.

Per Nevada law, prices for sexual services may not be advertised. The women who work at the ranch are independent contractors so there are no set prices in place, but customers at the brothel reportedly have to shell out hundreds of dollars to get tended to.

Photos from inside Odom's suite reveal just how hospitable the accommodations are. The suite features a large kitchen with adjoining laundry room. The impressive bathroom has a walk-in shower, sleek tiling and a bathtub large enough to fit a former NBA star with room for guests.

Hof, who owns the Love Ranch and other legal brothels in Nevada, said his staff had picked up Odom from a home in Las Vegas on Saturday.

'He just wanted to get away, have a good time and relax,' Hof told The Associated Press in a phone interview.

Hof said Odom was 'happy, he was sleeping every night,' while visiting, but two women went to check on Odom Tuesday afternoon after not hearing from him since early morning, and found him face down and unconscious.

When they turned him on his side at the direction of a 911 operator, Odom started 'throwing up all kinds of stuff.'

Odom's hospitalization was first reported by TMZ.

Odom, who won two NBA championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, last played in the NBA in 2013, and saw recent reality TV fame through his marriage to Khloe Kardashian.

Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce has not yet received final approval from a judge.

She has been by Odom's side at a Las Vegas hospital since Tuesday evening, according to a person close to the Kardashians who spoke anonymously because she wasn't authorized to speak to the press.

The two were married in 2009 in a large ceremony that was taped for the E! network, following a whirlwind engagement that was also filmed.

The Lakers played an exhibition game in Las Vegas on Tuesday night, losing 107-100 to Sacramento. Kobe Bryant and Metta World Peace are Odom's only remaining teammates on the roster.

World Peace clearly was distraught about Odom's health after the game.

"There's not one word I could say that would make sense," World Peace told reporters, declining further comment.

Bryant left the arena without speaking to reporters.

Odom spent the best years of his career with the Lakers, winning two championship rings and the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award in 2011.

After seven years in purple and gold, he was crushed in December 2011 when the Lakers attempted to trade him to New Orleans in a multiplayer trade for Chris Paul. He eventually went to Dallas in another deal, but was out of the NBA just two years later.

Some troubles that met Odom before and during his career appeared to worsen after he left the league, and included a no-contest plea to drunken driving shortly before his divorce.

Odom was suspended during the 2000-01 season for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months. During the 2010-11 season, a cousin he was close to died and Odom was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident in New York that killed a cyclist.

Odom played one season at Rhode Island before being drafted in the first round with the No. 4 overall pick by the Clippers in the 1999 NBA draft.

Born Lamar Joseph Odom on Nov. 6, 1979, in New York City, he was raised by his grandmother after his mother died of cancer when he was 12. His father was a drug addict.

In 2006, Odom's 6-month-old son Jayden died from SIDS while sleeping in his crib in New York.

He has a daughter, Destiny, and a son Lamar Jr., from a previous relationship.
