'Please leave me out of it': Iggy Azalea slams Rita Ora's idea to record an all-star Lady Marmalade remake with Miley Cyrus and Charli XCX

Her pal Rita Ora has grand plans to record an all-star version of iconic tune Lady Marmalade.

But Iggy Azalea has shut down the vision, hitting out on Twitter at her Black Widow collaborator's idea.

Rita recently revealed in an interview with The Sun that she'd love to recreate the magic of the 2001 cover of the 1975 Labelle classic, which was recorded by Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim and Mýa.

'It's always been my goal to create another 'Lady Marmalade'', the X Factor judge explained, before revealing her dream lineup.

'I'm trying to round up the troops - I think it would be me, Miley [Cyrus], Charli XCX - she'd be fun - and Iggy [Azalea].'

Rita's enthusiasm has not been matched by Iggy though, who after hearing about the plan, tweeted: 'Please leave me out of the whole Lady Marmalade conversation. I have nothing to do with ritas ideas & agree it should be left alone. Thanks'.

Nab a feather skirt like Rita

Aside from massive perks like going to fabulous events such as the launch of the Chanel exhibition in London, celebrities also get carte blanche access to the house's vetements.

To wit, Rita Ora chose this fabulous tweed and feathers midi skirt that Chanel designed for its Fall ready-to-wear collection and we have a feeling she didn't shell out the big bucks for it either. You know it's expensive when Chanel won't even disclose this skirt's price on the website; it's available upon request by calling a 1-800 number.

We can already see the dancing potential of this feather skirt that Rita paired with a cropped poplin blouse with a black tie and pared-down black pumps. Click right if you want to know more about this Chanel piece.

Otherwise, see below because there are a number of light-colored feather skirts on the market. We found a relative bargain at Express and a full-on splurge by Alice + Olivia at Bergdorf Goodman.

Iggy, who is currently recording her new album, then began responding to tweets from fans who asked about the potential cover. 'that was an iconic moment in pop history and should be left alone,' the outspoken star wrote in reply to one.

Iggy and Rita, who will release her long-awaited new album Poison later this year, have collaborated previously on their 2014 hit Black Widow, and at the time of the release spoke about their shared musical style and friendship.

In an interview with MTV last year, Iggy explained of their teaming-up on the Katy Perry-written track Black Widow: 'I think we've been wanting to collaborate for awhile. We had a few hits and misses, we had a few tries and it was never right. And then Katy sent me Black Widow.'

'She had spoken about it for awhile and she said that she wanted to get another female on it and I said you should put Rita on it because she can actually sing and that is rare in our day and it seemed like the obvious choice.'

While the two didn't record together in the studio, they did team up for the video and numerous live performances of the song. 'It felt perfect and to have her put me on the album. I was really happy about it,' Rita gushed.

'It's good when two girls support each other, especially two blondes because they are stronger than one blonde.'
