She debuted a lip ring at the Chanel event on Monday night but it appears that the accessory is something of a permanent fixture for Cara Delevingne.

The 23-year-old model and actress sported the piece of mouth jewellery as she arrived at Heathrow airport on Wednesday.

While she might have been sporting a lip ring, for the most part Cara's attire was dressed down for the flight.

The Chanel model had opted for comfort, in a grey Jack Wills cashmere jumper and tracksuit bottoms along with a leather biker jacket.

And in keeping with the casual look Cara sported a pair of black and white trainers and she had an emerald-coloured backpack slung over her shoulder.

She appeared fresh faced minus any make-up and had her hair pulled back into messy bun.

It appeared that Cara had cut it fine when it came to catching her flight and she was rushed through security to get her to the gate on time.

While Cara is no doubt jetting off for work she recently celebrating becoming an auntie again after her eldest sister Chloe gave birth to a baby girl called Juno.

Chloe, 30, and her husband Edward Grant are also parents to son one-year-old son Atticus.

Cara Delevingne has always been a favorite of Chanel's Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld, which is why it was no surprise to see the 23-year-old at the exhibition launch party in London.

Cara was flying solo at the event but didn't need anyone on her arm looking that fabulous! She kept it simple in this little black tulle dress that showed off her slender pins. While tulle is a rather girly material, it looked far from it with Cara choosing to don it in a black hue. With the choker and dark red lippy and piercing, her look was really channeling gothic glamour.

And while her sister's family is growing Cara's own relationship with singer St Vincent appears to be going from strength to strength.

The couple enjoyed somewhat of a date night as they attended a glitzy Chanel exhibition party at London's Saatchi Gallery on Monday night.

The British model used the opportunity to debut her edgy new jewellery drawing attention to it with bright red lipstick.

The girls mingled with the likes of Rita Ora, Lily Allen, Lily Rose Depp and Daisy Lowe at the fashion bash, which is now open to the public.

The free showcase features a replica of Coco's Rue Cambon apartment in Paris and iconic couture pieces from some of the fashion house's most famous collections.
