Make-up free Halle Berry shows off her lean legs in denim hotpants as she puts on a sweet display with daughter Nahla

She recently decided - along with CBS producers - to cancel her space drama Extant after just two seasons.

But Halle Berry didn't appear too downcast about the bad news as she enjoyed some quality time with her seven-year-old daughter Nahla on Tuesday.

Halle, 49, cut a low-key figure as she activated mother-on-duty mode in Beverly Hills, California.

The Golden Globe winner showed the true extent of her naturally good looks as she braved baring her make-up free for the duo's afternoon stroll in their local neighbourhood.

Halle's skin looked flawless as she allowed it to soak up some vital Vitamin D.

She wore her bronde shoulder-length hair in an equally unkempt fashion and allowed it to flow freely in the light wind.

Halle donned TKEES 'Powders' sandals with tiny denim hotpants which exposed almost the full length of her silky smooth lean legs.

The mother-of-two put on a sweet display with her firstborn as they sauntered around their local neighbourhood arm-in-arm.

Nahla was dressed in her summer-appropriate school uniform, suggesting her mother had just picked her up, and they popped into a friend's house on their journey home.

Halle couldn't hide her happiness as the curly-haired youngster gave her an adoring look while chatting about her day.

Talking recently about the decision to suspend Extant, Halle said: 'I am so proud of what we accomplished on Extant.

'This season seemed such a natural place to end Molly’s journey that I, along with CBS, felt it best served the story to leave it there.'

Fortunately, the award-winning actress has her next project lined up and will work with the network on a law drama series, entitled Legalease.

She added: 'I’ve loved this experience working with such a talented cast and creative team. ‎It was my first foray into episodic television, and I’m excited to continue my relationship with CBS, producing more compelling stories through my 606 Films production banner.'

Onto the next one: After making the decision to scrap Extant after just two seasons, Halle is looking forward to filming law drama Legalease with CBS. Here, she is pictured as leading lady Molly Woods in the space series
