First look: Shanice Williams makes debut as Dorothy with Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion in poster for The Wiz Live!
Dorothy was seen for the first time strutting down the Yellow Brick Road with the Cowardly Lion, Tin-Man and the Scarecrow in a new poster released on Tuesday for NBC's The Wiz Live!.
The new art for The Wiz Live! also showed a cyclone in the background as well as the glittering green Emerald City.
The poster featured newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy arm-in-arm with the Cowardly Lion played by David Alan Grier and the Tin Man portrayed by Ne-Yo.

The Scarecrow played by Elijah Kelly kicked up his heels while Dorothy's little white dog Toto walked along with them.
The live production of the 1975 Broadway musical features an all-star cast that includes Queen Latifah as The Wiz; Mary J. Blige, 44, as the Wicked Witch of the West and Uzo Aduba, 34, as Glinda, the Good Witch of the South.
The musical also will feature Stephanie Mills, 58, who played Dorothy in former Broadway version, as Aunt Em.

The Wiz Live! will air on December 3 on NBC.
The musical is based on the 1975 African-Amercian adaptation of The Wiz that won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
A 1978 movie version of The Wiz starred Diana Ross as Dorothy, Lena Horne as Glinda, Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow and Richard Pryor as the Wizard.
Starring role: Shanice Newcomer, shown in August in New Jersey, will step on the Yellow Brick Road

The Wiz featured a book by William F. Brown with music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls.
The upcoming live production will be directed by Tony winner Kenny Leon with Harvey Fierstein providing new music.
The Wiz Live! was being produced by Universal Television in association with Cirque Du Soleil Theatrical.
