She is riding the crest of a wave after getting two perfect scores in a row on Dancing With The Stars

And it seems Bindi Irwin is preparing to reenact one of the most famous silver screen dances of them all, after she was shown taking part in a Dirty Dancing themed practice with Derek Hough in Hollywood on Wednesday.

The 17-year-old naturalist was shown sitting in a corner as her musclebound partner leaned over to take her hand.

In a comical touch, the Dancing With The Stars Instagram page image was captioned: ' Nobody puts @Bindisueirwin in a corner!'

No doubt Bindi, daughter of famed Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, would have said she had the Time Of My Life if asked how their session had gone immediately afterwards.

Of course she looked far more dressed down than the film's star Jennifer Grey in her T-shirt, leggings and socks combo, a situation that will surely be remedied come showtime.

And while Derek took great delight in showing off his manly arms in a tight vest, it is unlikely many will rate him more of a heartthrob than legendary Hollywood sex symbol Patrick Swayze.

She told Entertainment Tonight: ''I am one of those old fashion people and I love to write

'So, I write a lot. Like hand-write letters. I write lots and lots of letters.'

Hero National Guard soldier Alek Skarlatos was also there, and seemed very happy to be back in the arms of his saucy blonde partner Lindsay Arnold after last week's temporary shuffle.

Andy Grammer, Allison Holker and husband and wife team Alexa and Carlos PenaVega were also in attendence.
