Koko was captured on camera being presented with a cardboard box containing the kittens (top right). After stroking them gently (bottom right), the gorilla picked one up and brought it in for a cuddle (center). After bringing the cat up to her face to take a closer look, the gorilla stroked its belly with her index finger and tucked it under her arm for a cuddle. Later, Koko was captured gesturing for one of the cats to be placed on her head (left) before later signing that the animals are her babies.

Catie Bott, 13, and 11-year-old twins Dara and Jana Bott of Withrow, Alberta in Canada suffocated after being under canola while playing on a grain truck loaded with the seed on Tuesday evening, police said. The girls were pulled out by adults who were at the farm and despite emergency responders' efforts to perform CPR on them, Catie and one of her sisters were pronounced dead at the scene while their sister died in hospital.

A homeless pitbull has found a new home after a heart-warming video showing him make his own bed at an animal shelter went viral.
