A paranormal investigator claims too have caught a black-eyed ghost child on camera, believed to be one of the children killed in an infamous triple-murder in the 1960s

The spooky footage was taken in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, where Raymod Leslie Morris murdered seven year-old Christine Darby in 1967.

He was also the prime suspect in the disappearance of two other young girls in the area and ever since, it is believed that their souls have haunted the woods in the beauty spot.

The legend is based on hearsay but Tom Buckmaster, 23, claims he now has proof that they exist after capturing some eerie images on camera during a ghost hunt with his team.

The footage appears to show a pale, white face glowing in the darkness, with two distinctive black eyes.

Mr Buckmaster even claims his Haunted Finders team were chased by the creepy figure, which threw a rock at them and warned him 'We're watching'.

He spent six hours looking for paranormal activity with his team in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, before the figure appeared at about 7pm on October 10.

Tom, from Arnold, Nottingham, said: 'It looks like a child dressed in white - you can see the legs moving as it walks.

Legend has it the Cannock Chase apparitions are of the three children murdered by car mechanic Raymond Leslie Morris in the 1960s

'I didn't even know I had captured the ghost until I went over the footage and thought, 'What the hell was that?'

'You could hear running on the footpath behind us.

'At one point a rock was rolled quickly from behind me and through the group, out of nowhere.

'We use a device called a spirit box which is basically a modified radio system.

'We got weird voices on there - there were footsteps, and voices saying, 'We're watching, We're looking' and then a male voice saying, 'He's coming.'

Tom runs Haunted Finders with his dad David Cranfield, 56, and brother John, 24, to investigate reports of the paranormal.

He added: 'When I was younger there was always something going off that I couldn't explain.

'My father and his mother and grandmother were the same - certain people are sensitive to it and you feel the energy when you go to a haunted location.

'We do it just for ourselves, because we are interested in the subject.'
