'Breastfeeding is hard yakka... stay at home mums should get a full time wage,' says Lara Bingle

  • Lara attended the launch of Westfield beauty festival in Sydney
  • She discussed motherhood, travelling with a baby and breastfeeding
  • But said that 'having a baby is nothing compared to having a business'
  • The model, 28, wore an off-the-shoulder Christopher Esber dress

She looked sensational in a dazzling white Christopher Esber dress and her signature tousled bob, but Lara Worthington (nee Bingle) says that the celebrity her fans see on the red carpet is vastly different to her new home life as a mother.

The 28-year-old model and wife of actor Sam Worthington discussed the challenges of motherhood during an interview at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney on Thursday morning.

'Stay at home mums should get a full time wage,' Lara said, adding that she is in awe of women who are mothers as well as holding down a full time job.

'I used to live in a bubble,' she said.

Double down on two slits like Lara

For a speaking engagement in her home country-- it only made sense that Lara Bingle chose an Australian designer to show off her shoulders.

So Christopher Esber is the man, the genius, behind this gorgeous ivory number.

In case it wasn't obvious, the simple white midi dress features two thigh high slits which was just right for showing off the new mother's enviable post bebe body.

It's never wrong to showcase a little leg, especially when they go on and on for days.

Now for the bad news--Lara's dress is no longer available. But if you click right, you will be directed to FWRD.com which features a few of Mr. Esber's minimalist yet ravishing pieces. Frankly, if our wallet would allow for it, we'd buy them all.

But if you had your heart set on a piece similar to Lara's off the shoulder dress, then have a look at our edit below!

The model revealed that she had recently stopped breastfeeding, which she credits for helping her stay in shape following the birth of baby Rocket Zot in March.

'Breastfeeding is hard yakka!' she said.

She told the roomful of beauty editors that she primarily lives in workout clothes - 'I have about 10 pairs of the same Nike pants and five jumpers'.

'It's mainly flat shoes! I can't wear heels like these around Rocket.'

And when she does dress up, she keeps it streamline and simple: 'I wear a lot of black,' she said. 'I’m quite a uniform dresser - a lot of blazers and pencil skirts.'

'I have been the face of a lot of brands and wanted to own something for myself - creating a website, formula, packaging, everything -  I wanted to learn.

Bingle revealed she will be adding two new products to the collection in the next few months - a lip and cheek tint and a multi-purpose contouring product.

Of the original collection, she names the LB cream as her most loved product for everyday use: 'It covers more than a tinted moisturiser but not as heavy as a foundation.'
