Swapping her luscious sleek locks for a backcombed hairstyle, the former Pussycat Dolls looked almost unrecognisable in the 1990s makeover.

One image was captioned: ‘#BestTimeEver #90s #hair Channeling my inner #kellykapowski.’

Adding to the theme for the fun TV sketch, Nicole also rocked large vintage glasses as well as heavily lined lips and a floral crop top.

Going retro: In another snap she opted for a more ‘emo’ look by sporting gothic black lipstick with straightened down hair and a rockband T-shirt as well as a black tattoo choker

Meanwhile, her appearance on the popular show comes soon after the most awkward interview she perhaps ever survived.

The former X Factor judge was repeatedly forced to talk about her seven-year relationship with ex-boyfriend Lewis Hamilton during a chat with Wendy Williams.

The 51-year-old TV host – who is mother to a 14-year-old son - hit hard and heavy on the topic of children.

She began: 'I was saying, truth, because you're 37, this is a woman who spent seven years of her life breaking up and getting back together.’

'Those are seven years you can never get back and he was really wealthy,' the daytime chat host continued. 'I was rooting for you, girl. I'm sorry to hear about that.'

Nicole, however, simply replied that she was 'fine' and admitted that 'seven years was a long time.'

The American songstress dated the British Formula 1 World Champion off and on since 2007 until February of this year.
