Lena Dunham dons her favorite Cindy Crawford top at LAX with beau Jack Antonoff as she prepares new comedy pilot for HBO

Lena Dunham has been on a whirlwind tour of promotion and wearing all kinds of form-fitting fashions, but when it came to her flight home to New York comfort was key.

The 29-year-old Girls star put on her trusty Cindy Crawford sweatshirt before meeting her plane at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday.

Lena, who was accompanied by her boyfriend Jack Antonoff, matched her favorite supermodel top with blue track trousers and a white baseball cap.

Dunham kept her gaze focused on the gate ahead while strolling through the terminal.

Antonoff managed to keep up the pace while clad in a white T-shirt beneath a black athletic suit.

The actress, director and writer tugged a carry-on suitcase that might have contained a laptop so she could, one would assume, work on her latest project.

Lena brought Girls into the public consciousness and it has won her scores of awards.

Now the star is set to direct and executive produce a new half-hour pilot entitled Max for HBO that should bring some feelings of feminism back.

Actress Lisa Joyce of Billy & Billie fame will play the central character, a magazine writer in the 1960s who gets drawn into the feminist movement, Variety reports.

Joyce earned positive reviews in the DirecTV series about two step-siblings who navigate a romance after spending years apart.

Adam Brody played her love interest in the show from Neil LaBute.

Lena's creative efforts will be assisted by Jenni Konner and Ilene Landress, who will also executive produce.

The Golden Globe-winner launched her Lenny newsletter on September 29 and has used it as a forum to express her feminist ideals.

Jennifer Lawrence wrote a piece for the site this week on the gender pay gap in Hollywood which was made public during the Sony hacking.

'It’s hard for me to speak about my experience as a working woman because I can safely say my problems aren’t exactly relatable,' the Silver Linings Playbook star wrote.

'But with a lot of talk comes change. So I want to be honest and open and, fingers crossed, not piss anyone off.'

Jennifer continued: 'When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d**ks, I didn't get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself.

'I don't think I've ever worked for a man in charge who spent time contemplating what angle he should use to have his voice heard.

'Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale, and Bradley Cooper all fought and succeeded in negotiating powerful deals for themselves. If anything, I'm sure they were commended for being fierce and tactical, while I was busy worrying about coming across as a brat and not getting my fair share.'

'I'm over trying to find the "adorable" way to state my opinion and still be likable! F**k that,' she added.
