He is the Kardashian who has always wanted to stay out of the limelight.

But with the whole family dealing with the heart wrenching situation of Lamar Odom lying in hospital on life support., Rob took to social media on Wednesday asking people to pray for his 'brother.'

Posting a throwback photo of himself and Lamar in a manly embrace, the shot shows the 28-year-old smiling as the pair give each other a hug.

Rob, who rarely uses social media, captioned the shot,: 'Praying nonstop for my brother.'

Lamar is currently on life support and fighting for life in a Las Vegas hospital after being discovered unconscious following a four day binge at a brothel.

Rob is the second member of the Kardashian family to take to Instagram asking for love and spiritual support to be sent the way of Lamar.

His mother Kris Jenner, who has understandably been absent from social media also used the platform to ask for prayers.

With the situation seemingly grave on Wednesday, the matriarch broke her silence, begging her followers on social media: 'Please pray for Lamar.'

She took to Instagram with a photo of her son-in-law and also posted the caption, calling the former basketball star 'our fighter.'

Khloe, Kourtney, Kim and Kendall are at his bedside, and it seems they are preparing for the worst.

E! News confirmed on Wednesday night Caitlin Jenner was on her way to see Lamar - she had been caring for her mother Esther who had broken both her hips.

A source told People magazine: 'They're pretty sure this is goodbye, but they're praying for a miracle.'

Hiding her eyes behind sunglasses, Kris had rushed to the hospital to support her 'inconsolable' daughter Khloe who flew to be by her ex-husband's bedside.

According to E! Online, Khloe was 'completely inconsolable' as she took a private jet to Las Vegas.

The former NBA star is said to be fighting for his life after falling unconscious on Tuesday while staying at a brothel in Pahrump, Nevada, where prostitution is legal.

According to the website his condition was 'critical' and he was breathing with the 'assistance of machines'.

A 911 call was made at 3.15 pm after he was found unconscious at the Nevada brothel. During that time, Khloe was at the Beverly Hills photoshoot, which had started at about 11am.

Her best friend Malika Haqq was seen arriving at at the shoot at 3.30 pm, before Khloe left an hour later.

According to TMZ, the professional basketball player was at Dennis Hoff's Love Ranch South in Pahrump when the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon.

The 35-year-old, according to a source, had been partying with girls there since Saturday.

'It's not good,' said a source.

Lamar was moved later that day by ambulance from a local hospital to one in Las Vegas.

The star apparently partied, taking cocaine with several prostitutes, and wept uncontrollably about his 'broken' life in the hours before his collapse.

A source who spoke with E! News said that doctors found 'virtually every drug imaginable' in the 35-year-old's system.

Other sources said that he suffered multiple strokes, is on kidney dialysis and has just a 50/50 chance of survival and will likely suffer brain damage.

DailyMail.com spoke to brothel owner Dennis Hof, who said that a rep for Khloe came to his establishment to collect Odom's belongings later that evening.

He was discovered in his room unconscious by one of the women who immediately called for a manager, who turned the basketball player over and discovered 'mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth'.

The athlete was reportedly also taking a herbal Viagra substitute.

He was taken by ambulance to the Desert View Hospital hospital, where doctors intubated him which is usually an indication that the patient cannot breathe on his own.
